"Culture Crisis' Not A "Healthcare Crisis"!

His short 2-paragraph letter to the White House accurately puts the blame on a "Culture Crisis" instead of a "Health Care Crisis".

Starner Jones, MD I am a seventh generation Mississippian and wanted to come back here after going somewhere else for college and medical school.. My extracurricular interests are golf, hunting, fishing and college football.

Dear Sirs:

"During my last night's shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with an expensive shiny gold tooth, multiple elaborate expensive tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone.. Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer. And our Congress expects me to pay for this woman's health care?

Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture - a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. A culture that thinks "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me". Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow.

The Gall of This Woman!

This is QUEEN PELOSI'S NEW JET!!! And the Democrats talk about Sarah's dresses!!



Queen Pelosi wasn't happy with the small USAF C-20B jet, Gulfstream III, that comes with the Speaker's job ... OH NO! Queen Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat, USAF C-32, Boeing 757 jet that could get her back to California without stopping! I understand that a former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, flew commerical most of the time. Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone of what Queen Nancy's Big Fat Jet costs us, the hard working American tax payers, literally thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California every Friday and returns every Monday, at a cost to the taxpayers (YOU and ME are those taxpayers!) of about $60,000, one way! As Joe put it ..."unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night and that costs us another $60,000!" Taxpayers, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to us of $5,760,000!!! No wonder she complains about the cost of this war ... it might cramp her style and she is styling on my back and yours. I think of the military families in this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of our country, keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing. Queen Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint. She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires. Who do these people think they are??? Their motto is ... Don't do as I do ... JUST DO AS I SAY!

If you think this is outrageous, forward it to all those on your email list! Keep in mind the figures above do NOT include the cost of plane or crew ... just the fuel!!! One has to wonder what the total package costs us? And on top of that ... now she wants to tax our IRA's & 401K's!

Anatomy of a Failing Presidency

 

      Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson.  In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ.  Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party.  Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to  China 20.

 

      But, Barack Obama is failing.  Failing big.  Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed.  Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.

 

      But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months?  His poll ratings are in free fall.  In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage.  This truly is unbelievable.  What's going on?

 

      No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative.  No, not a narrative about himself.  He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else.  But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us.  He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us.  All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.

 

      But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course.  It's that he's not one of us.  And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper.  Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience.

 

      In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job.  Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I offended, I apologize.  For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."

 

      Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive.  An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year.  With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.

 

      Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them.  The coyotes howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along.

I THINK IT IS REMARKABLE THAT THE PRESS CAN FIND EVERY WOMAN THAT TIGER HAS HAD AN AFFAIR WITH IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, COMPLETE WITH PHOTOS, TEXT MESSAGES, RECORDED PHONE CALLS, ETC.  THEY KNOW, NOT ONLY THE CAUSE OF THE  FAMILY FIGHT, BUT THEY EVEN KNOW, IT WAS A WEDGE FROM HIS GOLF BAG, THAT SHE USED FOR BREAKING OUT THE WINDOWS IN THE ESCALADE AND A COUPLE OF HIS TEETH.  NOT ONLY THAT, THEY KNOW WHICH WEDGE.

 

THIS IS THE SAME PRESS THAT CANNOT LOCATE OBAMA'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PASSPORT , HOW HE PAID FOR HIS IVY LEAGUE EDUCATION OR ANY OF HIS PAPERS WHILE HE WAS IN COLLEGE.

The attached is so true and relevant today due to the White House taking the side of terrorists.

Al Qaeda has claimed the attempted destruction of the plane that was trying to land in Detroit on Christmas was an attack

on the US by Al Qaeda which confirms the statements made by the terrorist. Unfortunately our terrorist loving President today 

said this was an isolated incident by a disgruntled individual and was not an Al Qaeda attack on the US. Thus the disgruntled 

individual who is not a US citizen was arrested and charged in US court and given a lawyer immediately thereafter and given all 

the rights and protections of a US citizen. Obama could have had him charged as an enemy combatant per the circumstances and 

put in Guantanamo and tried in a military court as approved by the US Supreme Court as put into law by the US Senate and Congress.

The terrorist was trained in Yemen, where Obama just released 6 terrorists from Guantanamo to Yemen. Yes these terrorists will 

rejoin the terrorist Jihad and probably kill more innocent Americans. Thank you Barrack Hussein Obama for helping to destroy our country!

Obama claims national securityfor not allowing the Senate and House Counterintelligence/Counterterrorism Committees to have access to the 

investigation into the biggest terrorist attack since 9-11 at Fort Hood, another attack that he says was by a deranged disgruntled individual 

despite the fact he was in communication with Al Qaeda. He also put an office in the White House in charge of the investigation for national

security reasons - whose national security Mr President? Can we say cover up by the jihad President? It sure is not our country's national 

security that the President is protecting. It was the political correctness policy in the US military that allowed this terrorist attack to occur

 in the first place - that places the cause back onto the White House steps. 

We won't even go into Obama's disregard for the law to try terrorists in military tribunals and instead give them US citizen status and try

 them in civilian court opening New York up to a mass attack and putting the CIA, US counterintelligence/ counterterrorism policy on trial

 in an open court room instead of the terrorists, with civilian lawyers for terrorists on our tax dollars to give some semi-legitimacy to the

 Obama Goat-Rope. The Al Qaeda President did what the terrorists could not do, despite their pleas to pled guilty in military court and be

executed Al Qaeda Obama puts them into an open forum that could result in their not be executed let alone not even being found guilty 

since now almost all the evidence and confessions by them are out the window since they weren't advised of their Constitution rights, 

regardless of the matter that they have no constitutional rights.......
